The "Pocket Six" is the first fountain pen offering from Schon DSGN. A compact cartridge fountain pen designed for everyday use. Like the Classic Schon DSGN pens, these pens are compact when capped but a nice full sized fountain pen experience when the cap is posted on the back of the pen. The name "Pocket Six" comes from the fact that this pocket pen houses a #6 sized nib, which is a full sized nib and not a smaller #5 commonly found in pocket size fountain pens. Quite nifty. I am super excited about these pens!
Pens are meant to get used and carried. They show scratches from coins and keys, revealing new textures that are unique to each customer and their lifestyle. Some pens even oxidize, like brass and copper, creating a beautiful juxtaposition of darker tones and polished edges. These pens wear in over time, not out.
some Heavy, some light
Three Brass pens weigh almost as much as ten Aluminum pens. When you pick up a heavier pen in Stainless, Brass or Copper, you can really feel the difference... Schon DSGN machined pens come in several different materials and finishes, each bringing something new to the table.
Made locally, carried globally
The pens are made in small batches, using a combination of modern manufacturing and traditional hand finishing. All manufacturing is done in Ian's Philadelphia workshop, ensuring detailed execution of the machining and that each pen is ready for years of use to come.
